Oh my goodness. This is so so simple and so so visually mouth watering. A brilliant addition to a cheese and wine evening or a sharing starter...
Ingredients
(makes 1)
1 Cheese / plain crumpet
1 Mini camembert / large camembert cut to crumpet size
½ tbsp olive oil
½ Clove garlic, crushed
Pinch of fresh chopped thyme / rosemary
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200*c. Simply place a mini camembert on top of a cheese or plain crumpet.
2. Mix together the oil, garlic and herbs. Score the top of the camembert with a sharp knife, then spoon the oil mixture over the camembert.
3. Bake for 12-16 minutes or until melty.
*** For the picture we used a whole large camembert and just cut it to size with a scone cutter – but it means it goo’s quicker and is far more runnier. As the camembert skin holds the cheese goo inside.
